The lung eQTL dataset has emerged from a research collaboration among investigators at Merck & Co. Inc. and three academic sites, namely Laval University, University of British Columbia, and University of Groningen. Human lung specimens were obtained from the three academic sites from patients who underwent lung surgery. Genome-wide gene expression and genotyping were performed to calculate lung expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL).
